Ex-Golden Eaglets Star, Ganiyu Bolaji Oseni has revealed reasons his profile in the football industry has been on the rise since he ventured into football years back.
Oseni attributed his rising profile and success to hard work, determination, the grace of God and the support he has received from the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, which according to him, has contributed immensely to his success in football career.
He stated this during his visit to Hon. Ige’s residence at Olubadan Estate, Alakia, Ibadan on one Sunday afternoon.

Oseni, who won the FIFA U17 World Cup with Nigeria and Korea 2007 hinted that if not because of the support Hon. Ige gave to promoting sports at the grassroot when he was a council Chairman towards discovering talents among the youths, somebody like him might not have had the opportunity to play at the national team not to talk of playing in European league.
According to him, “it is a thing of joy for me to play for Nigeria at the highest level, and to see my profile and career in football improving over the years. This it is a great privilege and grace of God Almighty that today I am an international footballer. I will forever be grateful to God and Hon. Ige whom God has used to achieve this feat.”
Oseni, who had represented Nigeria at U17 and U23 levels disclosed that he started playing football with boys club, state tournaments, amateur 3, amateur 2, premier team and then joined the national team.
Oseni has played for Long An, Can Tho, Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Mien Giang (all in Vietnam), Esperance (Tunisia), CSKA Moscow (Russia) and Kahraman maraspor (Turkey).
He advised the youths who want to make a career in football to remain focused, hard work and be prayerful, stressing that the road may be tough in the beginning but they will surely make it once they are determined. He opined.
There have been many instances of age fraudulence in the beautiful game, such as Gourav Mukhi in India and Carlos Alberto in Brazil.

Former Nigeria midfielder Christian Obodo is traumatised after he was kidnapped in the country's oil-rich Delta state for the second time in eight years.
The 36-year-old, who spent over a decade in the Italy's Serie A, was dragged from his car by unknown gunmen on Sunday after parking to buy fruit in the southern city of Warri.
"I was forcefully taken at gunpoint on refinery road not too far from my house, blindfolded and forced into the passenger seat of my car," Obodo told BBC Sport Africa, as he revealed dramatic details of his seizure.
"They started punching me and one of them threatened to shoot me in the head if I don't stay calm and quiet, it was at this point that I explained to them who I was and probably not who they were looking for.
"One of them recognised my name as the footballer, that was when I knew I wasn't targeted, but randomly picked up by these guys.
"It was really traumatising because the motives were unclear and being subjected to another abduction is very cruel.
"They took my diamond earrings, wrist watch, necklace and demanded for money, but I told them I only had my bank cards."
To make things even worse for Obodo he was locked in the boot of his car as his abductors decided to empty his account.

"I was kept in my boot for more than four hours. They started emptying my accounts using my two unlimited cards," he said.
"They were driving me to different places, I didn't even know we were still in Delta State. You can tell they are highly experienced in these card transactions.
"They were taking out cash endlessly and took their time with different transactions by removing unlimited cash whilst I was locked up in my boot.
"After they realised they couldn't take out more cash they drove me into a dark spot, where I was dumped later that night and was allowed to leave."
It is the second time the former Perugia, Lecce and Fiorentina player has been kidnapped in his hometown, with the first taking place in June 2012 while he played for Udinese.
Obodo said while this latest incident was random, the trauma has left him broken and feeling unsafe in his country.
"It's sad to say that I no longer feel safe anymore," he told BBC Sport.
"Just to park on the road to buy my mother apple and water melon, only to be seized at gunpoint.
"Imagine travelling on the road where you are all alone. A lot has to be done with security across the country for citizens to feel safe.
"I may have lost money and things money can buy, but now I fear that one day one could lose his life to gun-wielding people who might kill you for not having anything they want."

Kidnappings - more often of oil workers, the rich and famous - are a regular occurrence in Nigeria, but footballers and their families are increasingly being targeted.

Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC signed Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche for the upcoming 2020-21 season. The Nigerian centre-forward joins the franchise on a year-long deal.
Ogbeche kicked off his youth career at Lobi Stars in Nigeria and was then signed by Paris Saint-Germain into their youth system before making his first-team debut for the French giants in 2001-02 at just 17.
An illustrious journey began for Ogbeche, playing in France (Bastia, Metz), the UAE (Al Jazira), Spain (Alavés, Valladolid, Cádiz, Xerez), Greece (Kavala), England (Middlesbrough) and the Netherlands (Cambuur, Willem II).
The 36-year-old made his debut in Indian football in the 2018-19 season, captaining NorthEast United FC and scored 12 goals in 18 games.
Continuing with the ISL, he went on to represent Kerala Blasters in the 2019-20 season and finished with 15 goals in 16 games, the joint top goal-scorer in the division.
Ogbeche has also represented Nigeria on several occasions, including twice in the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
"Besides the brilliant mix of youth and experience in our team, the apparent quality and level of the squad speaks volumes about the ambitions we have here at the club," Ogbeche said.
"In my two years in the ISL, I've come up a fair few times against Sergio Lobera's team, and our coach's positive and free-flowing brand of football perfectly fits my style and idea of the game as well," the striker added.
