Ex-Golden Eaglets Star, Ganiyu Bolaji Oseni has revealed reasons his profile in the football industry has been on the rise since he ventured into football years back.
Oseni attributed his rising profile and success to hard work, determination, the grace of God and the support he has received from the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, which according to him, has contributed immensely to his success in football career.

He stated this during his visit to Hon. Ige’s residence at Olubadan Estate, Alakia, Ibadan on one Sunday afternoon.
Oseni, who won the FIFA U17 World Cup with Nigeria and Korea 2007 hinted that if not because of the support Hon. Ige gave to promoting sports at the grassroot when he was a council Chairman towards discovering talents among the youths, somebody like him might not have had the opportunity to play at the national team not to talk of playing in European league.
According to him, “it is a thing of joy for me to play for Nigeria at the highest level, and to see my profile and career in football improving over the years. This it is a great privilege and grace of God Almighty that today I am an international footballer. I will forever be grateful to God and Hon. Ige whom God has used to achieve this feat.”
Oseni, who had represented Nigeria at U17 and U23 levels disclosed that he started playing football with boys club, state tournaments, amateur 3, amateur 2, premier team and then joined the national team.
Oseni has played for Long An, Can Tho, Binh Duong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Mien Giang (all in Vietnam), Esperance (Tunisia), CSKA Moscow (Russia) and Kahraman maraspor (Turkey).
He advised the youths who want to make a career in football to remain focused, hard work and be prayerful, stressing that the road may be tough in the beginning but they will surely make it once they are determined. He opined.
There have been many instances of age fraudulence in the beautiful game, such as Gourav Mukhi in India and Carlos Alberto in Brazil.
In Mukhi's case, he became the youngest-ever goalscorer in the Indian Super League at just 16 years old, but he was, in fact, actually 28 years old. It is undoubtedly one of football's most famous instances of age-cheating, but what about Carlos Alberto?
The former prodigy was believed to be in his teens when he lifted the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship with his country, but was later found to be lying about his age by five years. As punishment, he was handed a one-year ban from the sport.
One of the more recent cases of age-cheating occurred earlier this year when former Senegal international Guirane N'Daw candidly admitted to falsifying his age in order to become a professional player.
What was perhaps more controversial that his confession, however, was N'Daw claiming that "99% of players have reduced their age" in Senegal. Let's hope that is not the case.
In South Africa, former Ajax Cape Town player Sibusiso Mzizi was alleged to have misled authorities into believing he was five years younger than he actually was,in 2019
Guinea U17 face disqualification from the FIFA World Cup in Brazil following CAF Disciplinary Committee's recommendation of their removal after accepting Senegal protest against two of their players for age cheating.
Former Super Eagles defender, Ifeanyi Udeze attributes age cheat as one of the common problems affecting the growth of football globally.

Former Nigeria midfielder Christian Obodo is traumatised after he was kidnapped in the country's oil-rich Delta state for the second time in eight years.
The 36-year-old, who spent over a decade in the Italy's Serie A, was dragged from his car by unknown gunmen on Sunday after parking to buy fruit in the southern city of Warri.
"I was forcefully taken at gunpoint on refinery road not too far from my house, blindfolded and forced into the passenger seat of my car," Obodo told BBC Sport Africa, as he revealed dramatic details of his seizure.
"They started punching me and one of them threatened to shoot me in the head if I don't stay calm and quiet, it was at this point that I explained to them who I was and probably not who they were looking for.
"One of them recognised my name as the footballer, that was when I knew I wasn't targeted, but randomly picked up by these guys.
"It was really traumatising because the motives were unclear and being subjected to another abduction is very cruel.
"They took my diamond earrings, wrist watch, necklace and demanded for money, but I told them I only had my bank cards."
To make things even worse for Obodo he was locked in the boot of his car as his abductors decided to empty his account.

"I was kept in my boot for more than four hours. They started emptying my accounts using my two unlimited cards," he said.
"They were driving me to different places, I didn't even know we were still in Delta State. You can tell they are highly experienced in these card transactions.
"They were taking out cash endlessly and took their time with different transactions by removing unlimited cash whilst I was locked up in my boot.
"After they realised they couldn't take out more cash they drove me into a dark spot, where I was dumped later that night and was allowed to leave."
It is the second time the former Perugia, Lecce and Fiorentina player has been kidnapped in his hometown, with the first taking place in June 2012 while he played for Udinese.
Obodo said while this latest incident was random, the trauma has left him broken and feeling unsafe in his country.
"It's sad to say that I no longer feel safe anymore," he told BBC Sport.
"Just to park on the road to buy my mother apple and water melon, only to be seized at gunpoint.
"Imagine travelling on the road where you are all alone. A lot has to be done with security across the country for citizens to feel safe.
"I may have lost money and things money can buy, but now I fear that one day one could lose his life to gun-wielding people who might kill you for not having anything they want."
Kidnappings - more often of oil workers, the rich and famous - are a regular occurrence in Nigeria, but footballers and their families are increasingly being targeted.
In March 2019, the mother of Nigeria international Samuel Kalu was released after being held by gunmen for six days.
It came almost a year after former Chelseas and Nigeria midfielder John Mikel Obi's father was kidnapped for the second time in seven years in June 2018, before being released after a ransom of 10 million naira (about $27,500) was paid.
Back in 2007, France-based defender Onyekachi Apam was kidnapped by armed men who took his car before releasing him.
A year later, the elder brother of Everton defender Joseph Yobo was kidnapped in oil-rich Port Harcourt before being released 10 days later.
On Tuesday afternoon, Vårgårda IK present its new coach for the coming season and AT-sport can already tell who it is about.
Namely, it is Peter Ijeh, former Allsvenskan shooter king, who steps into the coaching role at TÃ¥nga heath.
Ijeh confirms on Monday for AT-sport that the parties will soon agree.
- We talk to each other but are not quite done with everything yet. But it's close.
How close?
- Before tomorrow, Tuesday, we probably have everything in place. I'm in Stockholm right now but I'm going down to Gothenburg again tonight so we can see how everything is.
Peter Ijeh has, to say the least, a solid background in Swedish football when he was the acclaimed top scorer in Malmö FF in 2002 with 24 goals on the account.
After refusing to sign a new contract with MFF, he went as a Bosman case to IFK Gothenburg where there were 13 goals in 36 matches.
He ended his playing career in Gais and has not been very active in football since then.
However, he coached Assyriska BK for a period in division 2.
- Assyrian was the last team I was active in. Since then, I have worked as a scout for some agents, including around players from Africa, says the Nigeria-born Ijeh to AT-sport.
And you are eager to become a coach?
- Yes absolutely!
Do you already know Mohammed Abdulrahman (sports director of Vårgårda)?
- Yes we know each other, not least since the time in Gais when he was there when I left as a player.
What do you know about Vårgårda as a club?
- That they went from division 2, down to division 3 during a very tough year. In addition, they seem to have facilities where everything is in place to be able to train well.

Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC signed Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche for the upcoming 2020-21 season. The Nigerian centre-forward joins the franchise on a year-long deal.
Kayode came on in the 59th minute and was lively all through. He first forced the Qarabag goalkeeper to tip save with an effort from inside the box and then caused some problems with the way he ran behind the defence in some moments.
He should have scored earlier than he did but his effort came off the post after he slid to get on a cross in the back post.
There was no stopping him in the 88th minute when he was the quickest to a ball and lobbed it over the onrushing goalkeeper.
That was his third consecutive scoring appearance in the Europa League this season.
He scored the only goal in Sivasspor's 2-1 loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C in Matchday 2 and another in their away 5-3 loss to Villarreal.
The 27-year-old is on loan at the Turkish club from Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine.

Nicklas Bendtner has revealed he never liked Arsenal team-mate Emmanuel Adebayor - saying there was a 'bad vibe' between the two from the moment they met. Bendtner and Adebayor played up front together for the Premier League side between 2006 and 2009.
But they never got on - and the animosity between the pair even spilled over into an on-pitch altercation during a 5-1 League Cup defeat to arch rivals Tottenham in 2008.
Both players were fined by legendary boss Arsene Wenger over the incident.
Bendtner upset a few of his team-mates during his time in north London, after being promoted to the senior ranks while still a teenager.
He also received a dressing down from Arsenal icon Thierry Henry shortly after joining in with first-team training.

But the Danish striker, now 32 and playing for Tarnby in his homeland, insists Adebayor was the only player he properly fell out with.
“There is only one guy I’ve fallen out with and that’s Adebayor," Bendtner told talkSPORT. "We never liked each other. Apart from that I got on with most people.
“We sat next to each other in the changing room. He was 25, I was 26, from the first moment we saw each other it was just a bad vibe. That never changed.”
Bendtner was speaking ahead of the launch of his new book 'Both Sides'.
He recalled the spat with Adebayor at White Hart Lane, saying: "We had some small bust-ups in the changing room and that quite big one in Tottenham where it sort of blew out of proportion.
“We got hammered 5-1, we were so bad and the disappointment of letting the fans and team down just got out of hand between us.
“We had that sting on the pitch then we had a little bit in the dressing room and then the next day we were in [Arsene] Wenger’s office getting fined.
“It got explained how we had to learn how to deal with each other on a professional level and on a personal level.
“It was actually quite a good way of learning how to work with someone that you really disliked.”
Bendtner said he was given an ear-bashing by Henry after upsetting the Arsenal legend in training.
“Long story short, he put me in my place,” Bendtner told the talkSPORT Breakfast.
“I come from a place where you speak up and you stand up for yourself, and I think Thierry had that, too.
“Obviously he was the greatest striker and one of the biggest personalities and players in the Premier League at that moment.
“So he definitely taught me a lesson."
